1988年-1996年,攀鋼集團成都鋼鐵有限公司從事環保管理與治理研究。
1999年至今在中國科學院成都生物研究所從事環境微生物學、環境污染治理研究。
1981年-1985年四川農業大學學習,獲農學學士學位;
1985年-1988年,貴州大學攻讀研究生,獲農學碩士學位;
1996年-1999年在中國科學院沈陽應用生態研究所攻讀微生物學專業,獲理學博士學位。
2005年6月-9月作為高級訪問學者在澳大利亞Griffith大學進行合作研究。
